Morganna Cummings lives in rural Northern California with her family, her beloved cat Emil, and her pet chickens. When she isn’t writing she teaches and performs with a local classical ballet company and loves working in her flower gardens.

Morganna started making up stories before she learned to write, and never stopped. She became serious about learning to write well in high school and attended several writing conferences as well as majoring in creative writing at Sonoma State University and graduating with honors.

As a small child she was raised on the Land of Oz, and later as a young adult fell head over heels in love with Middle Earth. She has read, adored, and been passionately attached to fantasy stories her entire life, and she loves bringing new worlds to life, and getting to know new characters.

She believes very strongly in nobility of spirit inherent in the fantasy hero or heroine, and no matter what their struggles or situation you will find that at the heart of all her main characters. Her work is also characterized by a strong theme of the power of friendship. There is suffering, great trials and truly evil villains, but very little petty infighting. Her characters are strong because they are there for each other. If you love the pure unselfish friendships of the Lord of the Rings, you will enjoy this central theme in her work.
